Customer Support Engineer - based in Edinburgh

Due to increased customer demand for our services, we are currently looking for a customer support engineer to join our team. About Microsys

We are a team of nine dedicated individuals who have been providing IT services and support to our customers since 1998. Our primary focus is to offer a personal, helpful and professional service to all our valued customers. About our customers

We cater to a diverse range of customers across different industries, both commercial and not-for-profit. Their sizes range from 2 to 250 users. Many of our customers have been with us for over 20 years. We are dedicated to thoroughly understanding our customer's requirements and delivering products and services that align with those needs, while providing a professional and highly personal service.

About the position

You will assist our friendly and valued customers by completing tasks such as:
- Answering calls and assisting customers with any technical issues they are experiencing
- Working on tickets submitted by customers with various issues and requests
- Fault finding remotely, in the office, and in the future, on-site
- Preparing and installing new laptops and PCs
- Assisting more experienced team members on-site

Location

Initially, you will be based in our Edinburgh office to gain experience. As you progress, you will sometimes work on-site with another engineer and independently, primarily in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Requirements

We are seeking the following experience and attributes in our new team member:

 

-You have around two years of experience in providing first-line IT support for Microsoft products ideally Microsoft 365
-You have relevant IT qualifications such as a degree, HND, CompTIA or similar
-You enjoy speaking to customers and helping people
-You have a natural attention to detail
-You are an excellent communicator and listener
-You are enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
-You have a driver’s license, or you are in the process of obtaining one

Salary and Benefits

Your experience level will determine your salary. Based on frequent industry benchmarking, we are confident that our salaries exceed the industry average.
